Introduction

Graceson received her Master's degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors as an LCMHCA (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate) license #: A20505. With a background in school counseling, Graceson has developed a passion for supporting children (12+), adolescents, and young adults. Through this experience, she provided short- and long-term individual counseling services, career counseling, crisis intervention, and group psychotherapy. She is particularly equipped to help clients navigate challenges such as OCD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, academic and social stress, career exploration, adjustment/life transitions, and emotional regulation, among other general mental health concerns. Drawing on a strengths-based approach, Graceson integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to guide clients in identifying their strengths, setting goals, building resilience, and developing adaptive coping strategies. Graceson is additionally informed in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), currently in the process of becoming EMDR-trained, and she implements it with clients experiencing various concerns, from trauma to self-esteem. She is committed to integrating therapeutic approaches and techniques that best fit each client’s needs. Graceson believes in cultivating a therapeutic relationship through a warm, non-judgmental, collaborative environment. She strives to have clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives towards their growth and well-being. Graceson is committed to continuous learning and professional development to better serve her clients. Outside of counseling, she enjoys the outdoors, taking walks with her dog, traveling, baking sourdough, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
