Ever feel lost? Confused, or just unsure where to turn? Been there, done that, and all I got was a lousy T-shirt. As a cis-gay male, I’ve not only struggled with personal identity and relationship hurdles but also perfected the art of looking like I’ve got it all together while worrying if I’m going to get to work on time because the line at Dunkin’ was too long. Trust me, I know what it’s like to be weighed down by thoughts, opinions, and the occasional unsolicited advice from friends, family, and society. I'll help you every step of the way. I strive to be an overly caffeinated beacon of hope, guiding you through this topsy-turvy life as we navigate things like sexual orientation, gender identity, stress, anxiety, religious trauma, and neurodivergence. You don’t have to be alone as you face the many challenges of coming out, transitioning, or school stress. We’ll take much needed pit-stops to refuel and laugh, because healing doesn’t have to be ALL serious! In addition to working with individuals, I also provide relationship counseling services. My forte is working with clients who have a non-traditional relationship, think ENM or poly relationships (however you want to define it!), and I am kink/fetish affirming. My goal is to help you and your partner(s) become the healthiest, happiest versions of yourselves! And guess what? I’m a music therapist too! What does that mean? As a music therapist, I can provide the following: Song discussion Lyric Analysis Song Writing Music Assisted Relaxation Musical Recreation I offer these services to dive deeper without throwing you into the deep end. It’s easier to talk about scary things like emotions when you’re doing it through song. It’s even better that you don’t need to have any musical experience to try this out with me! In addition to Music Therapy, I also use a variety of other approaches such as Gestalt Therapy, CBT, and Person-Centered. My goal is to help you challenge the self-deprecating thoughts and untangle the dysfunctional patterns that keep you stuck. Together, we will dig deep to uncover the root cause of all those pesky thought patterns so we can feel like a “whole” person again. Let me empower you to find your voice and break the chains holding you back. When I’m not rockin’ it in the therapist role, you can find me playing Euphonium in the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds at Seton Hill University, completing a paint by numbers with my fur children by my side while probably thinking about exercising. I like to live my best list showing off my dance moves and singing abilities to said fur children and my partner. I don’t take life too seriously, and to quote one of my favorite actresses, Debbie Reynolds: "Being Normal Is Vastly Overrated!”
