Grey is a neurodivergent psychotherapy intern dedicated to helping clients develop stronger relationships with themselves and accomplish personal goals. Grey’s work focuses on building self-understanding and self-compassion, identifying clients’ values and strengths, and targeting the thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of living a fulfilling, joyful, and values-aligned life. They completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Smith College and are working towards a dual Masters in Social Work and Divinity at Boston University. As a result, their clinical approach is holistic, attending to the roles that societal narratives, institutions, cultural identities, and personal beliefs play in our lives and our well-being. In their therapy sessions, Grey’s goal is to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel understood and empowered as co-creators in the treatment process. Though they draw on a wide range of evidence-based practices, Grey is particularly interested in incorporating parts work, somatic techniques, and mindfulness into treatment when it suits client goals. Grey is passionate about working with those who are struggling with feelings of shame and guilt. They have experience working with adults navigating ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, relationship issues, chronic illness, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Grey’s approach and specialties are largely shaped by their own lived experience and personal journey. Above all, Grey’s practice is about empowering clients to embrace their truths and live authentically. If this invitation calls out to you, Grey would be honored to join you on your therapeutic journey.
