As a trauma-informed therapist, I believe developing trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship is crucial to doing meaningful work together. My approach to therapy is person-centered and relational, wherein the therapy process is demystified and therapeutic goals are developed cooperatively. Grounded in my commitment to anti-oppressive practice, I believe strongly in client self-determination and understand the therapeutic process to be collaborative by nature. I have completed specialized training in trauma-focused modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated-Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Additionally, I have experience and training in DBT and integrate principles of DBT and other third-wave behavioral models into my work with clients.
