My name is Hadlie Winslow, and I am thrilled to be a part of your mental health journey as a Graduate Counseling Intern at Coffee Talk Therapy. I am currently in the process of completing my Master of Health Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Catawba College and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My journey to counseling includes a background in mental health advocacy as an intern which involved developing a video series on student mental health and education where I worked with children with and without disabilities. My passion for counseling particularly grew throughout my work with children in the educational setting which provided me meaningful insight towards supporting younger individuals along their unique journeys of life that has been extended into my role as a Graduate Counseling Intern at Coffee Talk Therapy. My areas of focus incorporate children and social emotional play, adolescents and young adults, anxiety and emotional regulation, behavioral and social skills development, school and life transitions, and parent and family support. Through personalized care, I want to help children, adolescents, and young adults navigate their unique life experiences with confidence and develop healthy coping skills along their journey.
