I have been in the mental health field for 15 years, with the past 10 years dedicated to working as a mental health counselor in a variety of settings. My professional experience includes working with both youth and adults in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, crisis counseling, and, most recently, school-based mental health services. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the mental health needs of individuals across different stages of life and have strengthened my passion for helping others recognize and reach their full potential. Outside of my counseling career, sports have always been a significant part of my life. My involvement in both athletics and mental health counseling has allowed me to recognize an area of growing concern among athletes and high achieving individuals: the mental and emotional challenges that can impact their confidence, resilience, and overall performance. Throughout my coaching career, I have had conversations with coaches in our local community and in surrounding areas, some more than 100 miles away, who consistently express similar concerns. Many have observed that athletes today struggle with mental toughness, bouncing back from mistakes, maintaining confidence, and demonstrating resilience when faced with adversity. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. https://www.mind-power-performance.com/
