I started my academic journey with mental health in 2015 at Bradley University where I received my Bachelor of Science, focusing in Psychology. I then graduated from Western Illinois University with a Master of Science in Counselor Education focusing in Clinical Mental Health. I’ve worked with mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and grief/loss. I'm passionate about working alongside my clients to help them feel empowered as they navigate life transitions, create meaningful change in their lives, and process trauma and stress in a welcoming environment. We can look at underlying themes that contribute to life cycles and work on changing unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns. I utilize a combined approach including Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and Polyvagal Theory. This allows the client to explore their mental health symptoms through an empowered, cognitive, and somatic lens.
