Introduction

When am I going to stop feeling like I'm always in survival mode? What if my childhood actually wasn't 'normal'? How does everyone 'know the rules' for things that don't even have an instruction manual? Why did those things happen to me? Do I even deserve to take up space? How do I handle a world that feels like it’s always burning around me, where I’m constantly bracing for harm because of who I am? You’re carrying so much inside, more than feels possible, & it’s exhausting to hold it all on your own. You deserve a safe, empowering space to honor the parts of yourself just trying to survive this life in the best ways you know how. Hi, I'm Haley (she/her), Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Queer and Neurodivergent affirming therapist. It's great to meet you. I earned a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver, and soon after began working as a therapist under supervision until I became clinically certified. I bring four years of experience providing therapy for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, many of whom also live with mental health diagnoses including PTSD/CPTSD, OCD, Psychosis, Bipolar I and II, BPD, eating disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression, and support areas such as trauma, healthy relationship building, coping skills development, identity exploration, emotional regulation, body image, and self esteem. I’m passionate about supporting Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ clients not only because these are communities I’m personally part of, but because everyone deserves therapy that honors who they are and how they move through the world. I support clients with a range of backgrounds and identities outside of the Queer/Neurodivergent spectrums as well, and I bring both clinical knowledge and a lived understanding of how vulnerable, meaningful, and healing the therapy process can be. I specialize in these support areas: PTSD/Trauma (namely survivorship, relational, familial, prejudice-based, body/disability-based, and attachment-based), Relationships, Autism/ADHD/Neurodivergence, Identity, Body Image, Anger Management, Anxiety, and Depression. While these are my main areas of focus, I also bring experience with other mental health support areas and am dedicated to meeting you exactly where you are. I am kink aware and polyamorous/non-monogamous informed and aligned as well. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally conscious, anti-racist, strengths-based, sex-positive, and rooted in anti-diet culture/HAES, all viewed through an intersectional lens that honors the whole you. I use modalities such as ACT, CBT, DBT, Relational, Psychodynamic, Somatic, SFBT, Person-Centered, as well as Emotional, Attachment, & Trauma Focused in my work with clients. The types of treatment I utilize greatly depend on the person/persons served and their support areas, what feels most aligned with their values, and how structured clients would like their sessions to be. I fully believe therapy is a collaborative process. You deserve support that is trauma-informed, safe, impactful, and fit for 'real life', which I work to provide in my practice, & sometimes with a bit of well-timed humor along the way- if it's helpful. I strive to be a therapist that 'get's it' and truly sees and hears you. Together, we’ll build a foundation of trust & safety, crafting a space that's empowering, goal-focused, & authentic using an intentional, clinically-sound approach. I accept private-pay (with a sliding scale) via Simple Practice and insurance-pay through Headway and SonderMind.
