Seeking therapy often begins with the simple realization that something needs care, attention, and support. Life can look “fine” on the outside while inside you may be carrying anxiety, burnout, grief, or the weight of a significant life transition. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I am a licensed therapist providing individual therapy, parent guidance, and family support in a collaborative and compassionate environment. I work with teens (12+), adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and parenting. I also support folks experiencing personal or professional burnout and those navigating major life transitions, including starting or finishing college, career changes, and adjusting to or living with illness, particularly cancer. My approach is grounded in person-centered, strength-based therapy. I see you as a whole person - not a problem to be fixed. Together, we focus on building self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and developing practical coping tools that support resilience in everyday life. I have a special interest in supporting parents through every stage of parenthood. Whether you are preparing for parenthood, navigating the teen years, or adjusting to evolving family dynamics, I offer guidance, practical strategies, and a space to reflect on your parenting style and family relationships. My approach blends warmth, validation, and actionable tools to help you feel more confident and connected, while recognizing that parenting can bring deep joy and deep overwhelm - often at the same time! I also enjoy working with college students navigating academic pressures, transitions (just starting or figuring out what comes after graduation), identity exploration, and how relationships can change as a young adult. Together we can explore how to balance school, relationships, and your personal growth. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2005 and bring experience from private practice, school settings, and community-based nonprofit programs. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Circle of Security Parenting principles. Most importantly, therapy is always tailored to you! Therapy does not have to feel clinical or intimidating. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for individuals and families of all identities, expressions, and abilities. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and empowered - leaving therapy with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence in navigating all that life brings. I welcome you to reach out with any questions or to schedule a free initial call.
