Introduction

Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile. I'm Hannah, a clinical social worker with more than 20 years experience in the field. Most of these years have centered around supporting women, children and their caregivers in the context of family wellbeing. The mind-body connection has also been a lasting interest of mine, and it has been exciting to expand my practice to include more somatic oriented work. In my therapy practice, I assist adult clients to work through a variety of challenges related to emotional regulation, behavior, self-esteem, relationships, life transitions and trauma. My work is informed by an integrative framework including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal theory, somatic and attachment approaches. I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist. My practice also offers consultation services to benefit adults, children and families. I am certified to offer both the Rest and Restore Protocol and the Safe and Sound Protocol, created by Dr. Stephen Porges, the creator of Polyvagal theory. These cutting edge technologies reprogram the nervous system through the auditory pathway using therapeutic music. Additionally, I am a trained provider of neurodevelopmental movement, reflex integration and somatic practices that enhance brain integration and promote development in all areas across the lifespan. These unique methods increase interoception and embodiment, as well as improve behavioral, emotional and cognitive/learning challenges by targeting the brain and nervous system directly; something that talk therapy cannot achieve. Consultation is a short-term investment that will support existing therapies or help garner momentum as you prepare for longer-term therapy. Let's work together to achieve greater emotional balance, wellness and joy!
