Introduction

I am a child, teen, and young adult therapist working primarily through a person-centered, humanistic approach. I have experience working in an anxiety and OCD treatment center, private practice, and community services. My clients can be children learning to navigate big emotions, teenagers traversing through middle and high school, or young adults transitioning into the “real world”. I currently work with children over 10 years old, teenagers, and young adults virtually and face-to-face, as well as children under 10 years of age in person. Prior to counseling, I worked as a prestige beauty consultant for various companies. I learned how to find beauty both physically and metaphorically: in ourselves, each other, and life. While on the surface I was playing with lipsticks and eyeshadow, I was also watching how loving ourselves can bring an entire new zest and joy to life. It was with that experience that I made the decision to transition into counseling. I graduated from Northwestern University with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025. In addition to my degree, I also received a certification highlighting my expertise working with children and adolescents. I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC). I am certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and suicide prevention with youth services. I am currently working to gain certifications or am interested in pursuing certification in emotion-focused therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and narrative therapy. I believe it is my personal qualities that make me stand out from other counselors. I believe in people and their ability to change, grow, and learn. I love learning and expanding my horizons academically. I want to be a trusted and respected guide to my clients- someone they can rely on to assist them on their own journeys in life. Every person is unique, and every person deserves time, respect, honesty, and kindness. I’ve been given opportunities for growth and education that I will always be grateful for, and I’d like to use those opportunities to give back to others and help them on their own path. My approach to counseling is patient, kind, and ready to meet you where you are. When I am not working, I love engaging in adult-style play. My partner of five years and I play video games, board games, strategy games, roleplay games. It keeps us connected to our youth, and it is a lovely way of implementing joy. I love the National Parks of the world and appreciating Earth’s beauty. I like to read fantasy, mystery, and romance novels, and I can watch bad reality TV or old Disney movies all day long. If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to schedule a time to meet briefly and see if we’re a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
