Hi there! My name is Hannah Lorincz (she/her/hers), and I am currently a graduate student at Northwestern University pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a counselor, I believe clients know more about themselves than I ever will. Therefore, I think it is integral to their growth and wellbeing to help assist them in understanding what they know about themselves through empowering their identity, choices, and lifestyle as they are currently living it. I tend to lean towards person-centered, choice, and reality theory as counseling approaches and believe there is strength in empathy and feeling. As a person outside of work, I live each day knowing our next moments are always unknown. I try to be kind, compassionate, understanding to all individuals regardless of their backgrounds. I advocate for people, and I love my long-term life partner and family members: both chosen and given. In the therapy space, I hope to give my clients the same energy I give to my loved ones by valuing them as people and unique adventurers throughout life.
