There is wisdom to be found in suffering. Our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations are messengers alerting us to our unresolved past, current stressors, and values we may be abandoning. In an effort to ease our pain, we often ignore our own wisdom, leading to more suffering. I'd like to help you connect with your inherent wisdom so that you may increase your ability to manage stress and navigate life's hardships with self-compassion, curiosity, and a sense of self-efficacy. I strive to bring empathy, humor, and honesty to my therapeutic relationships so that you may have space to truly Be Yourself. I work with adults and children, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults going through difficult life changes. I also work as an addiction therapist in an intensive outpatient program, and am happy to bring my expertise treating substance use to my private practice. I am currently (and enthusiastically) accepting new clients and referrals. I would love to arrange a free, 15-minute consultation to get to know you and see if we are a good fit.
