Introduction

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed by anxiety, or unsure how to make a change in life is a common experience. It’s normal to feel intimidated, especially if past therapy experiences were difficult or if you are new to the process. Hayden will guide you to make the best decision for yourself. Hayden offers a collaborative approach to help clients feel more centered, heard, and fulfilled. As a queer, transmasc clinician, they ground their practice in intersectionality and identity, acknowledging that each individual is the expert of their own life experience. He utilizes a client-centered, strength-based approach to support adults and adolescents who are queer, transgender, gender nonconforming, nonbinary, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, kinky, polyamorous, consensually non-monogamous, or still exploring their identities. Hayden provides a non-judgmental, stigma-free environment for clients to explore their thoughts and behaviors. An EMDR-trained therapist, Hayden incorporates a trauma-informed approach to help clients move through their trauma, fostering healing in a way that is safe and empowering. His therapeutic methods are diverse, integrating EMDR, behavioral-based practices, narrative therapy, queer theory, solution-focused techniques, and psychoeducation. He has expertise in working with adults and teens navigating issues related to gender, sexuality, identity, job/school stress, and major life changes. Hayden also supports individuals who may have had a loved one just come out or start transitioning, helping them process that change and learn how to best support the people they care about. Before joining Sunflower Clinical Group, Hayden was a psychotherapist at Inclusive Insight, where he worked with LGBTQ+, Trans+, and questioning clients using evidence-based practices. His life and educational background contribute to a straightforward, compassionate, curious, and humorous approach to therapy. They view each session as a learning experience, embracing the idea that therapists are both healers and lifelong learners.
