I am Joyce Malissa Garcia, Ed.S, LMHC, LPC, an Educational Specialist in Traumatology and currently pursuing a PhD in Psychological and Counseling Studies with a focus in Trauma and Crisis. I specialize in helping women and adolescent girls heal from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and the lasting effects of painful life experiences. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-harm, substance use, relationship difficulties, and feeling stuck in patterns they cannot break. My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, helping clients understand the root of their symptoms while building emotional stability, healthier coping skills, and a stronger sense of self. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling, integrating Christian beliefs into the healing process in a safe, respectful, and client-led way. I bring both professional training and a deep understanding of the healing journey, and I am committed to helping clients move toward lasting change and emotional wellness.
