Introduction

You survived what happened. Now it’s time to heal. I am Malissa Garcia, and I hold an Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Traumatology. With over a decade of specialized experience in substance abuse and recovery, I understand that addiction and "feeling stuck" are often rooted in deep-seated trauma. My work is built on the belief that your brain and spirit were designed for restoration. Using a structured, trauma-informed approach, I integrate: Psychoeducation: Understanding your nervous system to stop the "overwhelm" before it starts. Attachment & Relationship Repair: Healing the patterns that keep you feeling disconnected or isolated. Integrated Recovery Support: Utilizing my 10+ years in substance abuse counseling to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for long-term healing and sobriety. Biblical Soul Care: For those who desire it, I offer deeply integrated Christian counseling, using Scripture to anchor your identity in Christ and find meaning in the "refiner’s fire." The Result: You don't have to carry the weight of the past alone. My goal is to provide a sacred, grounded space where you feel seen and supported while gaining the practical tools needed to move forward with confidence. Ready to begin? Let’s work together to restore your heart and ignite your hope.
