Introduction

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, while also learning new ways to respond to the challenges life brings. My approach is warm, collaborative, and active, balancing compassion and acceptance with practical tools for lasting change. I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for teens and adults and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. I work with individuals who experience intense emotions, anxiety, OCD, self-criticism, impulsivity, or patterns that feel difficult to change. Through DBT, I help clients build skills to navigate distress, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel more meaningful. My comprehensive DBT services include individual therapy, between-session phone coaching, and coordination with external skills training providers. In couples therapy, I help partners move beyond recurring arguments, emotional distance, and cycles of pursuing or withdrawing. Using an attachment-based, EFT-informed approach, we explore the emotions and needs beneath conflict to foster greater understanding, emotional safety, and connection. I also integrate CBT, ACT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring treatment to each client's needs and goals. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and grounded in the belief that growth happens through both acceptance and change. I offer individual, couples, and family therapy in Westlake, Ohio, and virtually throughout Ohio.
