One of her specialties is working with families and individuals experiencing chronic illness and pain, cancer, and other medical issues. First and foremost we believe that you are the expert on your life, not us. We believe that trust and safety is the cornerstone of a successful therapeutic relationship. The process will involve openness about what you are bringing to counseling, respect for you and your family, curiosity about who you are and what you believe, as well as accountability to our power in the room. We view our lives as a series of stories woven together to create our beliefs about who we are and how we interact in relationship with the people and world around us. Some of those stories have been authored by us, some authored by those in our lives. Together you will work to identify how you would like to re-story problematic or traumatic stories to create future stories that fit your vision for your life.
