Dr. Heather Forde has been practicing for over 15 years. She earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. Dr. Forde studied resiliency and created a workbook to develop resiliency skills as part of her doctoral project/dissertation. She completed an APA internship at Tri-City Mental Health Center in Pomona. Her training has consisted of a variety of clinical and educational settings where she gained experience and an interest in helping those with anxiety, depression, phobias, substance abuse recovery, abuse survivors, trauma (PTSD), grief and bereavement, life transitions and stress management. I believe that therapy is a collaborative and active process. Clients are invited to learn about their nervous system and regulating the whole self, mind and body. Using insight, awareness and somatic experiencing practices we can create new adaptive ways of being and experiencing the world. We will pair practical and evidence-based strategies along with caring, empathy and a bit of humor to help restore, rebuild and cultivate resiliency for long-lasting change. I believe healing is possible. I look forward to meeting you.
