Heather has worked in the fitness/activity industry since earning her bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Recreation from NKU in 2004. Recognizing the strong connection between physical and mental health, she is pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling. As a counseling intern, Heather supports clients of all ages with compassion and practical strategies, using cognitive behavioral techniques within an empathetic and supportive environment. When appropriate, Heather also incorporates physical activity and movement into her counseling approach, promoting the connection between body and mind. Heather is supervised by Dr. Kathryn Plymale, LPCC-S, RPT
