Introduction

Welcome to Perspective Psychotherapy. I'm Heavenly Weaver, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Provider (LSATP) with nearly 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. My background includes leadership roles as a Clinical Director in community mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. I specialize in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, substance use concerns, life transitions, identity and self-concept issues, and weight/wellness challenges. I also provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services and have particular experience supporting Veterans and military-connected individuals. As a Virginia Alcohol Safety Program (VASAP) provider and Approved Clinical Supervisor, I bring depth across multiple areas of practice. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in evidence-based methods — while also honoring holistic wellness. I believe meaningful change happens when we address the whole person, not just symptoms. Whether you're working through a specific crisis or seeking personal growth, I'll meet you where you are. In our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin building a path forward together. My style is warm, direct, and practical. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy jazz music, Pilates, and time near the water here in Hampton Roads — all of which reflect my belief in balance, mindfulness, and intentional living. I currently offer both telehealth and in-person appointments at my Tech Center Parkway office in Newport News. I'd be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and a renewed sense of self. Please call or email to schedule your first session.
