About Me: My name is Heidi Caldwell, and I am a counseling intern currently completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. I am married and a mother, and I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings throughout my career. Most recently, I served as the administrator of a residential treatment facility for teenagers, where I developed a deep appreciation for the resilience of individuals and families navigating life's challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, participating in water sports, and relaxing with my family and our dogs. Therapeutic Approach: I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. As the mother of a child with special healthcare and disability needs, I bring personal insight into some of the unique challenges that individuals and families may experience. During my internship, I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while continuing to grow and develop as a counselor. I believe in creating a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and valued. I look forward to walking alongside you as you work toward your goals and greater well-being.
