Introduction

Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and reconnect with yourself. Many of the people I work with have spent years caring for others, meeting expectations, or holding responsibilities that often leave little room for their own needs. Over time, this can lead to anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from who they are and what they want. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported in exploring these experiences with curiosity, compassion, and honesty. Why This Work Matters To Me As a Filipino American therapist who also identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand some of the complexities that can arise when navigating identity, family responsibility, cultural expectations, and belonging. Many people receive messages—spoken or unspoken—about who they should be, what they should value, and how they should live their lives. While these expectations can provide connection, guidance, and a sense of responsibility, they can also create tension when your own needs, identity, or life path begin to feel at odds with what others expect of you. My own experiences have given me an appreciation for how challenging it can be to honor important relationships, cultural values, and community while also making space for your own voice and sense of self. I believe it is possible to remain rooted in what matters to you while creating space to grow into who you are becoming. My Approach I view therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop new ways of responding to life's challenges. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in an understanding of how our nervous systems adapt to stress, relationships, and life experiences. Many of the patterns that bring people to therapy—including anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, emotional shutdown, or difficulty setting boundaries—often develop for understandable reasons. Together, we explore these patterns with compassion rather than judgment. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that feels warm, authentic, affirming, and grounded in respect for your lived experiences and identities. What Clients Often Appreciate Clients often describe appreciating a therapeutic space that is: - Warm and supportive - Collaborative rather than prescriptive - Curious and nonjudgmental - Attentive to family, cultural, and relational dynamics - LGBTQ+ affirming - Focused on both insight and practical growth Ready to Take the Next Step? Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you're used to handling things on your own. If you're considering therapy, I invite you to reach out for a consultation. We can discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
