Sometimes the thing you need help with is also the thing you feel guilty saying out loud. You’re angry at someone you love. You want distance from a family you care about. You’ve built a life you wanted and still don’t feel okay in it. You don’t need to resolve those contradictions before bringing them to therapy. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and relationships, with a particular focus on Latino adults and people raised in immigrant families. I'm Heidy Davila, a bilingual, first-generation Guatemalan Latina Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I draw on attachment, parts work, mindfulness, and body awareness, and I’m completing EMDR training. Sessions can be in English, Spanish, or both. I’m warm and direct. You can ask questions, disagree with me, switch languages, or say that something isn’t helping. Together, we’ll explore what happens when you feel threatened, guilty, or disconnected and work toward having more choice in how you respond, communicate, and care for yourself.
