I founded Finding Peace Counseling LLC because I believe every person deserves a safe place to heal — a space where compassion, empowerment, and evidence-based care meet the lived realities of trauma, adversity, and growth. My passion for this work comes from years of walking beside individuals who felt lost in their darkest moments and helping them rediscover strength, clarity, and hope. My journey began in substance abuse counseling, where I quickly learned that recovery is never just about the substances. It’s about the unspoken pain beneath them — trauma, loss, generational wounds, cultural pressures, depression, anxiety, and the weight of life’s expectations. As an LSAA, I have supported clients through detox, early recovery, relapse prevention, harm reduction, crisis intervention, and rebuilding identity and purpose. I work extensively with co-occurring disorders, understanding that mental health and substance use rarely exist alone; they influence each other in complex, deeply human ways. Over time, I realized that meaningful healing requires treating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. This realization inspired me to pursue nursing, with the long-term goal of becoming a nurse practitioner specializing in integrated behavioral health and addiction care. This next step allows me to bridge medical and therapeutic approaches, expand access to compassionate treatment, and continue serving clients with the depth and dignity they deserve. Finding Peace Counseling LLC was born out of all these experiences — the clinical work, the personal lessons, the countless stories of resilience — and the belief that even in the darkest chapters of life, people can still find their way toward light, safety, and inner peace. My role is to walk that path with them, offering guidance, acceptance, and unwavering support.
