I grew up in rural Hawaii in a community full of people from many different cultures, and this provided the foundation of my understanding of people and the world. In my undergraduate studies and later my graduate work, I focused on learning to provide culturally competent services for people from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and later to the non-monogamous community. The most rewarding work I get to do is helping people grow into themselves - understanding and cultivating their unique strengths and learning to overcome their challenges. Whether this involves addressing anxiety or depression, improving self-concept, or understanding your neurospiciness and how to make it work for you, I strive to help you become the person you want to be.
