Introduction

I approach therapy as a collaborative process, recognizing that you and I both contribute valuable knowledge and expertise to our work. My experience is that when we combine our efforts, we are able to develop creative, personalized, and powerful ways for you to be more effective, engaged, and satisfied in life. I draw from a variety of psychological theories and techniques to tailor therapy to your particular strengths, goals, needs, and personality. We may work at increasing our understanding of your emotional experiences & why they occur; challenging & changing ways of being or thinking that no longer work for you; and processing or reconceptualizing experiences & relationships. Occasional “experiments” between sessions help to reinforce or inform our work; whether the experiment “succeeds” or “fails” we have new data. The overarching goal is to help you get unstuck, increase your understanding of yourself, & enhance your ability to adapt to and enjoy your life.
