Dr. Ian Gutierrez, Ph.D., received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut and completed his clinical internship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Gutierrez maintains an active career in psychological research, with more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. His areas of subject matter expertise include stress, anxiety, and coping; resilience and well-being; military and veteran populations; and the psychology of religion and spirituality. My approach to therapy Therapy offers a caring and compassionate space in which you can undertake some of life’s hardest tasks: facing old fears, coming to terms with uncomfortable realities, and processing difficult life experiences. However, the kindness, understanding, and patience of a knowledgeable therapist makes these tasks a little easier to bear.
