Introduction

As a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY30098), I offer therapy and coaching for personal/professional growth. I work with clients to enhance coping with stress, bolster resiliency, as well as to overcome obstacles to living more fully. I also specialize in psychological/personality and intellectual/academic testing and assessment including evaluation of learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health/psychiatric diagnoses and dementia. My experience includes working in a variety of settings including school-based health, residential treatment, and community mental health with clients of all ages. I worked at Native American Health Center (Oakland, CA) as a predoctoral intern and postdoctoral fellow/registered psychologist in the outpatient clinic providing psychotherapy, case-management, and testing/assessment. I also provided integrated behavioral health services (IBH) in the medical clinic. I have worked with clients of all ages from numerous intersecting ethnic, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, as well as a wide range of sexual and gender orientations, and various abilities/disabilities. I have a certificate in Latin American Family Therapy and have extensive experience working with Latinx populations and indigenous populations through my training and in private practice. I work with executives and technologists to optimize performance and meet career goals while considering wellness and work-life balance. I work with clients who are struggling with mental health problems and external stressors to improve quality of life and functioning. My therapeutic approach to working with clients is integrative including influences from the following: Humanistic/Client-Centered, Psychodynamic/Object Relations/Relational, CBT/DBT, Family Systems, Recovery Oriented Care, Mindfulness, and Cultural Competency. I specialize in psychological/personality and intellectual/academic testing and assessment including evaluation of learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health/psychiatric diagnoses and dementia. I conduct thorough clinical interviews with clients and other relevant sources and administer appropriate tests to answer complex referral questions, identify diagnoses, and provide treatment and accommodations recommendations. I synthesize best practices for psychological testing with cultural context to provide integrative reports and feedback. I also provide personal / executive coaching and equine assisted psychotherapy.
