Hi, I’m Isabel! Reaching out for therapy isn’t easy. You might look like you’re holding everything together — but underneath, something feels heavy, or stuck. Most of what people bring to therapy isn’t a sign that something is wrong with them. It’s usually patterns that made sense at some point — ways they learned to cope, stay safe, avoid conflict, or take care of others. Over time, those same patterns can become exhausting, or leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. What once helped you get through may now be getting in the way of how you want to feel in your life and relationships. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or be the version of you that feels most acceptable to everyone else. It’s a place where we can slow down, make room for what you’ve been carrying, and start to understand your experiences with curiosity instead of judgment. I don’t take lightly the trust it takes to begin that process. My Background I’ve always been fascinated by people—their stories, their relationships, and the experiences that shape who they become. That curiosity led me to earn my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and to a career dedicated to helping individuals and couples build healthier, more connected lives. While I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and families, I have a particular passion for working with couples. There is something uniquely meaningful about having both partners in the room together. Rather than talking about what happens in the relationship, we get to experience those patterns in real time—exploring misunderstandings as they unfold, strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, and creating new ways of connecting with one another. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both outpatient and residential treatment settings, supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, chronic illness, eating disorders, body image concerns, addiction, relationship challenges, dual diagnoses, and major life transitions. Every experience has reinforced one belief: people are far more resilient than they often realize, and relationships have an incredible capacity to heal when both partners feel understood and supported. My Approach Many of the individuals and couples I work with feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change. Conversations become arguments. Anxiety refuses to quiet. The same hurts continue to surface, leaving people wondering why they keep ending up in the same place. I don’t believe people are the problem. Instead, I help clients understand the patterns they’ve developed, how those patterns were shaped, and what purpose they’ve served. From there, we work together to create new ways of responding that foster greater connection, security, and emotional well-being. My work is relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. With couples, I primarily draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, and the Gottman Method, and I am currently completing Gottman certification training. These approaches help couples move beyond conflict management toward deeper emotional connection, healthier communication, and lasting relational change. Whether we’re working individually or as a couple, therapy is always tailored to your unique story, strengths, and goals. My role is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. My Hope for You You don’t need the right words or a clear plan to begin. Healing doesn’t come from having all the answers — it comes from feeling understood, and from discovering that the patterns you’ve carried don’t have to define where your story goes next. You do. Therapy with me isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about feeling more like yourself. My hope is that this becomes a place where you can understand yourself more deeply, treat yourself with greater compassion, and feel more connected to the people who matter most — without carrying everything on your own. We’ll go at your pace, and we’ll build from there, together.
