Dr. Israel Taylor is a double board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist with a strong commitment to delivering equitable, patient-centered mental health care. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine through a competitive dual-degree program, integrating clinical medicine with a population health perspective. Dr. Taylor completed her residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Central Florida/HCA Healthcare, where she developed a strong foundation in the diagnosis and management of psychiatric conditions across diverse patient populations. She subsequently completed fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where she also served in a leadership role as Chief of Fellow Wellness and Culture. Clinically, Dr. Taylor has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan, providing comprehensive evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions in both in-person and telehealth settings. Her work spans multidisciplinary and collaborative care models, with a focus on culturally responsive, measurement-based, and outcomes-driven treatment. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Taylor is deeply engaged in advocacy, education, and mentorship. She was selected as an American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Resident Advocacy Scholar, where she contributed to national policy discussions and developed a policy statement addressing the impact of social media on youth mental health. She has led advocacy initiatives within her institution, including co-authoring and producing a departmental advocacy newsletter.
