Hello, welcome! My name is Ivette Aldana MS, LPC, NCC. I help people connect and understand their inner world while gently and safely working through trauma, stuck patterns, and/or life stressors. I recognize that life comes with many different situations and scenarios to navigate through; some of which may be challenging - you do not have to do this alone. I work with individuals who appear to have it together, yet feel the weight of stress, burnout, trauma, or loss - often leading to disconnection from self and others. I'm passionate about empowering young adults and beyond to live fully, honoring their unique values and experiences. As a trauma-informed therapist, this approach acknowledges the impact trauma can have while remaining conscious to provide care and support that is responsive to unique, individual needs and backgrounds - all while remaining attuned to your nervous system responses. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, dissociation, grief, life transitions/adjustments, and trauma while also addressing topics such as anger management, identity, self-esteem, values, guilt, and relationships. I am a first-generation Latina therapist, originally from Inglewood, CA and now based in Houston, TX. My cultural background deeply shapes my work and fuels my passion for supporting those navigating intergenerational and immigrant trauma. I recognize the powerful role these experiences can play in one's healing journey. I find meaning in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences who are committed to their personal growth and therapeutic process. When I am not in sessions, I am still involved in my work as an ophthalmic surgical nurse. I also enjoy going to church, exploring different foods/places to eat, watching movies, powerlifting, reading, and spending time with loved ones/two beautiful corgis.
