Dr. Ivrys Dukes began her journey in healthcare as a combat medic in the US Army, serving on the frontlines where compassion, skill, and resilience often meant the difference between life and death. Her military service instilled in her a deep commitment to caring for others and a dedication to excellence that would shape her entire career. After completing her military service, Dr. Dukes pursued higher education and earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She went on to practice in both acute care and primary care settings, where she developed a reputation for treating patients with dignity, compassion, and respect while providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. Recognizing the importance of mental health in overall well-being, Dr. Dukes returned to school to complete a post-doctorate certificate in psychiatry at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. This additional training has equipped her with the expertise to integrate mental health care into her practice, offering a truly holistic approach to patient wellness. Today, Dr. Ivrys Dukes is passionate about combining her medical knowledge, psychiatric training, and years of clinical experience to treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She is committed to ensuring that every patient feels seen, heard, and supported on their journey to health and healing.
