Introduction

🍃INDIVIDUAL THERAPY🍃 I provide therapy for adults, and specialize in perinatal mental health, and I also support people navigating a variety of life challenges. With over 20 years of diverse experience in mental health, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals through different stages of life, helping them uncover their strengths and find a path forward. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts and feelings that weigh on you, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and discover strategies that help you feel more balanced and confident. I support clients facing: 🍃 Anxiety and depression 🍃 Women’s Issues 🍃 Grief and loss 🍃 Stress management and self-care 🍃 Life transitions and phase-of-life challenges 🍃 Relationship and self-esteem concerns 🍃Perinatal mental health challenges- preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and other reproductive experiences No matter what brings you to therapy, you’ll find a welcoming, non-judgmental space here. I work alongside you to tailor our approach to your unique needs, helping you navigate difficult moments, celebrate your strengths, and move toward the life you want. 🍃 PERINATAL & MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH 🍃 Emotional changes after giving birth are common, but intense feelings that persist beyond the first two weeks may signal something more than the “baby blues.” Up to 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men experience Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders including depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. These challenges often go unrecognized due to stigma, shame, fear, or lack of awareness about available support. You are not alone. I focus on supporting whole-person wellness during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. My goal is to help you navigate the complexities of parenthood while breaking the myths and stigma surrounding maternal mental health. Therapy, education, and supportive care can help you navigate your journey while promoting wellness for you and your family. Check back in soon for more information. 🍃 BEFORE YOU BEGIN🍃 Before you begin your therapy journey, it’s natural to have questions. Here you’ll find helpful information about sessions, insurance, and what to expect as we start working together. 🌱 Where are you located? I’m based in Houston, Texas, and provide telehealth sessions for clients in both Texas and Louisiana. You can join sessions from wherever you feel most comfortable—your home, office, or a quiet spot that feels like your own. 🌱 How do sessions work? All sessions are held through secure telehealth, so therapy can fit naturally into your life. You simply log in from a private space where you feel safe, grounded, and able to focus on yourself. 🌱 How long is a session? Most sessions are about 60 minutes, but we can adjust the length to fit your needs. The overall length of therapy depends on your goals and the pace that supports your growth. 🌱 Do you take insurance? For clients in Louisiana, I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) insurance. For those in Texas, sessions are offered through private pay, and I’m happy to provide a superbill so you can explore potential reimbursement through your insurance. 🌱 Can I pay privately? Private pay is available for clients in both Texas and Louisiana, and I’m happy to provide a superbill if you’d like to submit it to your insurance for potential reimbursement. FSA and HSA cards are also welcome as forms of payment, making it easier to prioritize your well-being. Fees are discussed during your complimentary consultation so there are no surprises. 🌱 What’s the first step to starting therapy? I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, answer your questions, and see if we’d be a good fit. 🌱 How do I schedule a session? You can schedule your complimentary consultation (or a session if you’re already a client) by clicking the “Request Appointment” button above, or by reaching out to me by phone or email. 🌱 Who can you work with? I’m licensed in both Texas and Louisiana, so I can see clients who are physically located in those states. Unfortunately, I cannot provide therapy to clients in other states due to licensing rules. 🌱 What can I expect from therapy? Therapy is a collaborative process. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Together, we’ll develop strategies and tools to help you feel more balanced, confident, and empowered in your life. 🍃 HI, I'M IVY! 🍃 I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in Perinatal Mental Health. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, one that helps you plant small seeds of change that, over time, grow into lasting transformation. I provide a warm, collaborative, and supportive space where you can feel heard, validated, and empowered to slow down, reflect, and grow at your own pace. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, you don’t have to walk that journey alone. Together, we’ll nurture your growth and help you flourish from the inside out. Congratulations on taking steps in your wellness journey, I'm so glad you're here!
