I have over six years of experience supporting young people through the challenges of growing into adulthood. My clients are older teens and young adults (approx. ages 16-21) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity questions, and relationship challenges. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, high sensitivity, and finding my place in the world, I know what it’s like to get stuck; to struggle to ‘launch’ into independence; and to feel shame, guilt, and self-doubt as a result. This informs the way I show up as a therapist: nonjudgmental, affirming, and supportive. I draw on my education in clinical psychology and adolescent mental health; my training in psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and expressive arts therapy; and my previous experience as a high school teacher to create a therapy space that is warm, grounded, and motivating. I like to weave in creative modalities like art and writing for clients who are interested. Humor and playfulness often show up as well. In our sessions, you’ll find a comfortable and conversational space in which to explore your current needs and your dreams for the future, at your own pace. My hope is that you leave each session feeling seen, heard, and a little bit more hopeful. I'd love to hear from you!
