Hi! I'm a licensed psychologist and long-time Austinite. My approach to therapy includes building a compassionate, therapeutic relationship and the use of evidenced-based approaches. I prioritize a collaborative, strengths-based approach, emphasizing empowerment in a nonjudgmental space that is specifically attentive to identity and culture. I specialize in working with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and depression. Also, I have significant experience working with individuals in high stress professional careers and highly technical fields. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with Honors in 2008. After working in mediations and dispute resolution for several years, he returned to graduate work at the University of Houston, where he earned a Master of Arts in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My clinical experience includes working with clients across the lifespan in community, student counseling, integrated health clinic, and private practice settings. I completed my APA-accredited doctoral internship at Southern Illinois University’s student counseling center. During that time, I worked with young adults experiencing anxiety and depression, often with additional issues, including trauma, ADHD, chronic illness, and gender dysphoria. I completed graduate practicum at the McLean OCD Institute, Houston (formerly Houston OCD Program) and Texas Children’s the Center for Children and Women. Outside of therapy, my interests include photography, podcasts, cooking and eating international foods, video games, and playing board games with my partner and friends. If you think I might be a good fit, don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm happy to explore whether you think I'd be well suited to help you figure out and reach your personal goals.
