In a world where cultural norms, systems, and institutions are actively hostile to our wellness, the pursuit of wellness is a revolutionary act. Resistance to oppression, both in the form of external systems and the internalization of the wounds we carry from the past, is a high calling, requiring earnestness, courage, and strength. We all have the power to overcome, and none of us has to do it alone. Whether you're facing down the seeming existential terror of this moment in history or caught in a loop of recalling that embarrassing incident in middle school, I would be a grateful traveling companion on your journey to relief and wellness. Through an eclectic blend of modalities, I help clients develop communication and emotional regulation skills, navigate life transitions, manage the challenges presented by mood disorders (depression, bipolar, anxiety) and deepen their self-knowledge to become their best selves. I'm Jacob, but everyone calls me Cubby. I graduated from MSUD in 2017 with a BS in biochemistry and a minor in philosophy and hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My eclectic practice style is rooted in person-centered theory and Coherence therapy. In a nutshell, I believe that all people are worthy of positive regard and that our feelings all make sense once we know where they come from. I believe strongly in our ability to heal ourselves. We just need tools and guidance to do it Office Location: 5353 W. Dartmouth Ave. Suite #305, Lakewood CO, 80227
