Introduction

I work with individuals, caregivers & families 12+ specializing in complex trauma (CTPSD), developmental trauma & adoption experiences. Typically, I am not the first therapist my clients have worked with before. My clients have a history of working with a variety of mental health professionals, resulting in multiple mental health diagnoses because complex trauma likes to “mask” as other disorders. My clients often experience chronic insomnia, chronic illness, neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism), attachment wounds, and complicated grief/loss. I integrate various modalities including Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adoption Competent Therapy, parts work, and lived experience into my work with clients. I collaborate with my clients to regain control over their lives and heal from trauma. By strengthening the mind-body connection, I help clients learn how to regulate their nervous system and widen their window of tolerance. I examine my client's current routines and strategies in order to create systems that work FOR their brains, NOT against it. I am also trained in CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), which is a short term treatment modality for those struggling with chronic insomnia. I am a board approved supervisor for clinicians holding Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW) and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) credentials. I have experience working with individuals, families, caregivers, and groups from as young as 3 years to adults ready to retire in a variety of settings including community mental health, schools, summer camps for children & families affected by childhood cancer, hospitals, and nonprofits. I am a Chinese, transracial/international adoptee, survivor of Severe Aplastic Anemia, culturally Jewish, and a member of the LGBTQ+, ADHD, chronic illness, and complex trauma communities. As someone who holds several intersectional identities, I can relate to feeling out of place, misunderstood, and lost. I want you to know that you are not alone.
