Many of you have heard your child say “mommies and daddies can do anything.” What your kids may not realize is that helping them feel that way is exhausting. And when you're a new parent, stress only increases if you wonder just what exactly you got yourself into. For moms especially, the physical changes, shifting roles, added relational stress, and pressures to be "perfect" often result in feeling invisible or as if you have lost who you are outside of motherhood. You may feel like you're drowning while doing your best to look like the superhero your child sees. The pressures associated with the mental load just keep adding up. I specialize in working with women navigating the unique challenges of motherhood, adults experiencing relationship stressors, and children struggling with issues related to school, depression, or anxiety. In my work, I address the underlying experiences contributing to the present issues while exploring strategies for treating the symptoms. Being your child's superhero doesn't mean you need to be superhuman. Every person deserves to feel as supported and connected as possible. Motherhood is a journey that deserves our deepest respect and most thoughtful support. If you are ready to rediscover the person behind the mom, let's talk and explore how I can support you.
