Life presents us with many challenges and stressors, and somewhere along the way we develop ways of meeting these challenges that may not be helpful long term. We can be left feeling disconnected from ourselves. You may find yourself stuck in patterns of overworking, overthinking, avoiding, trying to be perfect, and chronic stress. As a therapist, I want to help you understand why these unhelpful patterns developed and facilitate your innate capacity to grow and heal. I named my practice Waypoint Psychotherapy because I believe that therapy is a place to ground and orient, so you can continue your journey the way you want to. Through curiosity and empathy, I want to gain deep understanding of your story and goals. Then, I integrate skills from various modalities addressing mind and body. You can expect to unpack difficult experiences or relationships, explore the mind-body connection, work on limiting beliefs, learn regulating practices, and find new ways to approach stress. My goal is to help you connect to your true self and approach life according to this version of you. When working with me, you can expect empathy, collaboration, thoughtful questions, moments of humor, and compassionate honesty. Finding the right therapist is important. If you think I may be a fit for you, I invite you to reach out for a 15-minute consultation.
