Introduction

Hello, my name is Jakki Ling. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona. I provide a safe space for adults to process what life has thrown them, and how they have navigated it. I have 10 years of experience in the mental health field, and am a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have my Bachelors of Science from the University of Arizona and my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I own and operate Reprieve Counseling. We will outline your goals, and work towards them together using host of evidence based therapies. I provide a non-judgmental, trauma-informed stance in my sessions, while heling you find tools and techniques that work to suite you and your lifestyle. I believe that everyone is worthy of taking up space, regardless of age, race, gender, sex, or sexual orientation. My work focuses on helping you recognize energy being spent on ineffective thoughts, beliefs and behaviors, that are negatively affecting the ability to fully live and enjoy life. I believe in joining my clients in their journey, understanding how they see the world, and integrating effective, evidence-based practices are best for long-lasting, effective change. I would be honored to join you on your journey. The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners is currently reviewing my application for a potential License as a Professional Counselor (LPC). What does this mean? I am currently a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). I currently pay my Clinical Supervisor, Adrienne Gibson, for one hour of supervision for every twenty hours of direct client contact. I currently have over 1600 hours of direct client counseling hours since obtaining my Master's Degree in 2022 and passing the National Counseling Examination, and have over 100 supervision hours, and am now awaiting the Board's decision to potentially allow me to practice independently, without a supervisor, in my private practice. This is a supervised private practice. It is owned and managed by a master’s level, non-independent licensee under Board-approved clinical supervision pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211. The Board-approved clinical supervisor of this practice is: Name: Adrienne Gibson Phone Number: 480-296- 6412 Email: valorcounselingaz@gmail.com
