Introduction

You can be doing everything “right” and still feel lost. Many people come to therapy not because their lives are falling apart, but because something deeper feels missing. You may be successful, capable, and outwardly put-together—yet feel disconnected, restless, or quietly asking yourself, What’s the point of all of this? Insight alone hasn’t been enough. You want your life to feel more aligned, intentional, and meaningful. I’m James Clarke, LMFT, and I work with adults in Los Angeles using a depth-oriented, existentially and DBT-informed approach. We focus on meaning, values, identity, and choice while building practical skills for emotional regulation and relationships. This work asks for honesty, reflection, and active participation. Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and grounded. We slow things down enough to listen carefully to your emotions, patterns, and inner life, while creating structure for real change. I offer in-person therapy in Los Angeles and telehealth across California. I work best with clients willing to engage deeply and take responsibility for change.
