Introduction

I’m Jimmy, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in experiential, neuroscience-informed therapy for adults navigating relationship issues, heartbreak, breakups, grief, shame, and traumatic stress. My approach focuses on more than just changing “negative” patterns. I help clients understand and address the experiences that once made those patterns necessary. Symptoms don’t appear randomly. They develop in response to lived history. Therapy, from this perspective, should not force change. It is about creating the conditions where change can naturally occur. I approach therapy with respect for your pace, your voice, and your nervous system’s inherent wisdom. Much of our work happens in the present moment, using methods that allow the brain to process and integrate experiences in new ways, not just talk about them. I’ve received post-graduate training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Cognitive Restructuring for Traumatic Stress. I am also a David Kessler Certified Grief Educator. Clients often describe developing greater self-compassion, emotional control, and confidence in their capacity for change, along with new ways of coping and connecting more deeply in their relationships. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment. If you’re interested in scheduling a consultation, you can contact me using the link at the top of the page. I currently do not accept insurance, but will soon be contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I offer limited reduced-rate slots and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
