James Semiene is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Katrina Landry, PhD, LPC-S. He is from Beaumont, Texas, where he grew up playing football and video games. He joined the Army at the age of 20. During his time in the military, he traveled the world and led, mentored, and cared for Soldiers. He is now a medically retired disabled veteran, offering a unique blend of clinical, spiritual, and military perspectives to support you on your mental health journey. He is passionate about working with minority men and takes pride in supporting their growth. He helps clients build emotional intelligence so they can better understand their feelings, express them effectively, and develop healthy ways to cope. He understands what it feels like to think, “no one really understands me” or “I have to be Superman,” because he has experienced those pressures himself. He creates a space where you don’t have to overexplain—where you can feel seen and understood through shared experiences. So, what are you waiting for? Book your appointment and take the first step toward a more peaceful, balanced life.
