Hello! My name is Jamie Fangsrud and I’m a person-centered therapist who works with people from all ages and stages of life (10 years of age and up). I’ve helped clients navigate a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, relationship issues, academic struggles, sports burnout, low self-esteem, chronic illness, and more. I believe in the healing power of relationships and show up for clients as my most authentic self with the hope that they will feel free to do the same! Authenticity and trust are the two most important ingredients involved in the creation of a collaborative therapeutic alliance. I strive to help my clients feel heard, valued, safe, and loved. I employ techniques from various counseling modalities such as DBT, CBT, Existential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Counseling modalities aside, I believe that laughter is a healing agent in and of itself, and it’s not uncommon to hear boisterous laughter coming from my office! We are all connected to one another through this challenging and sometimes painful human experience, and it’s my belief that love and belonging is our deepest human need. I was born and raised in Billings and have no desire to leave our beloved state! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bret, and our son and two daughters. Summertime is my favorite season as I feel most connected to life when I’m enjoying time outdoors. I love to go camping and hiking, I love music and singing, and I feel happiest when I’m mowing my lawn, caring for flowers, and tending garden! One of my future goals is to become certified in horticultural therapy so that I can one share my love of nature with clients! My goal is to provide a space where clients can come dig in the dirt, play with flowers, and reacquaint themselves with Mother Nature. If you feel that I would be a good fit for you or a loved one, please reach out and let’s get to work!
