Jamie Heemin An works with high-conflict couples, families, adolescents, and individuals facing a wide range of challenges. She has a particular focus on immigrants and first-generation individuals navigating the pull between the culture inside their family and the culture outside it. This includes intercultural partners and complicated intergenerational and extended family relationships. Trained in the Gottman Method, Jamie helps clients build practical skills they can use right away, and keep using, for richer relationships over a lifetime. Jamie has lived in Seoul, Germany, and the United States, and she speaks fluent Korean. Living across cultures has shown her there are many ways to be. Culture shapes identity, and so does family. Jamie invites clients to explore the stories of their lives and what matters most to them, and together they look at the patterns that may be getting in the way of the connection they want. Reaching out for support in the middle of conflict doesn’t always feel possible. You’re not alone. Together, we can learn things about you and the people in your life that change how you react and interact. Life can get better. By making sense of our stories, we can expand our choices for love and connection. Jamie offers sessions in English and Korean, with evening and weekend availability.
