Jamie graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Psychology specializing in Child and Adolescent development. Her interest in working with children and adolescent lead her to pursue a Master of Social Work degree from New Mexico State University. Jamie graduated from New Mexico State University in May 2023. Jamie gained her experience working with children, adolescents and their families through interning at a local organization that services the Albuquerque area. She has worked with children, adolescents and their families in both office and school settings as well as through crisis intervention. Since graduation, Jamie has gained experience working with adults, couples and a range of mental health diagnoses through in-office and virtual settings. Jamie currently offers only telehealth services, working with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. She offers flexible appointment times with available evening and weekend appointments. Jamie approaches therapy from a client-centered perspective utilizing a trauma-informed lens. Initial appointment with Jamie will be a directed session discussing reasons for seeking services, background information, family history, counseling history, goals for therapy and more. Subsequent appointments will follow the client-centered approach, which is a non-directive approach that empowers clients to lead their own healing process while using a trauma-informed lens that emphasizes safety, trust and collaboration.
