Introduction

Hi, I’m Janell, and I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the emotional patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I became a therapist because I’ve always been deeply drawn to human behavior, emotional healing, and the ways our experiences shape how we move through the world. I believe therapy can be a powerful space for self-discovery, healing, and reconnecting with who you truly are beneath anxiety, overwhelm, or survival mode. I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety, relationship issues, attachment patterns, self-worth, emotional overwhelm, trauma, life transitions, and identity shifts. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who appear “fine” on the outside but internally struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, burnout, boundaries, or difficulty trusting themselves and others. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply person-centered. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, somatic practices, mindfulness, humanistic therapy, and Socratic questioning to help clients explore both the emotional and nervous system patterns underlying their experiences. I believe healing happens not only through insight, but through developing a safer, more compassionate relationship with yourself. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood — without judgment. Together, we explore the parts of you that may feel protective, wounded, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, while building greater emotional awareness, regulation, self-trust, and resilience. Whether you’re processing past experiences, navigating relationship challenges, struggling with anxiety, or moving through a major life transition, therapy can help you feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with the version of yourself you’re becoming.
