Her journey from the Caribbean to the U.S. shaped her global perspective and unwavering commitment to serving individuals and families navigating life’s toughest challenges. Janelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from Florida Atlantic University and dual Master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Barry University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Qualified Supervisor and a Masters' Level Certified Addictions Professional in the state of Florida. Her clinical work spans diverse settings She has served in community mental health to military installations, most notably her years of service in the U.S. Army’s Substance Abuse Program, where she provided care to elite warfighters and their families. “Serving America’s military elite gave me the foundation I needed to walk alongside those facing high-stakes pressure, emotional fatigue, and relational breakdown”. Janelle offers individual, couple, and family counseling, as well as clinical supervision and consulting. Her approach integrates systemic, trauma-informed, and Emotion-Focused Therapy frameworks, designed to promote healing, deepen relationships, and foster sustainable change. She is particularly passionate about supporting helping professionals, multi-heritage couples, and clients navigating cultural identity and life transitions.
