Introduction

My name is Janelle Swartz Neff, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Maryland. With six years of experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families navigating complex life challenges. My practice supports clients coping with long-term medical conditions like cancer, managing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obsessions and compulsions, and substance misuse, as well as athletes working on sports performance. I also guide clients through major life transitions, including college adjustments, career growth, and expanding families. To tailor therapy to your unique story and values, I draw from a wide range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Faith-Based Counseling, Trauma-Focused CBT, Play Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Your therapeutic journey at The Planted Pathway begins with an intake session focused on building trust and getting to know what brings you to therapy. We incorporate comprehensive assessments for anxiety, depression, substance use, and safety to ensure well-rounded care. Within our first three sessions, we will collaboratively design a clear treatment plan with goals for the next 3 to 12 months. Success is measured by consistent reflection on these goals, celebrating your progress as you move forward. We are pleased to offer both in-person and online sessions Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
