Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for reaching out for help. I am a telehealth therapist located in Waterville, Maine, and hope you will consider me in your search for a therapist. Before becoming a clinician, I started my career as a social worker forty years ago, serving rural Maine families and working primarily with the child welfare system. I started my clinical work with individuals and families in home health and hospice services, with chronic or terminal illnesses, and later as a child and family therapist for an agency before entering private practice in 2014. I have enjoyed working with multiple area colleges counseling students experiencing difficulties related to anxiety, depression, and other significant mental health challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals who've experienced domestic violence, anxiety, depression, divorce, and childhood and adult trauma. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy for our sessions. I encourage humor, fears, and tears, and hope to learn your many strengths and values upon which we will harness to move you forward through the challenges you may be experiencing.
